Father God,
We pause to remember.
Not through the lens of anger or division,
but through truth, humility, and gratitude.
We thank You for the lives of Black men and women who endured suffering,
yet carried faith when the world denied their worth.
For those who prayed in silence, worshiped in secret,
taught their children hope, and trusted You when justice felt distant.
You saw what history tried to ignore.
You heard prayers that never made headlines.
You preserved dignity where systems failed.
Teach us to remember rightly.
Not to elevate pride, but to honor perseverance;
not to divide Your children, but to recognize Your image in every life.
Let remembrance produce wisdom.
Let wisdom produce humility.
Let humility draw us closer to You.
Guide us beyond appearances, beyond narratives, beyond algorithms; into truth anchored in Christ.
Let justice flow from love,
and reconciliation begin in the heart.
We thank You for history, for endurance,
and for the promise that Your Word outlives every injustice.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“God hath made of one blood all nations of men.”
